Directions for use
-
Follow your doctor’s advice or the package label for directions. Unwrap the suppositories from outer foil. Insert medicine into the vagina before going to sleep at night. Use this medicine for the full course of treatment, even if you are feeling better after the first few days. If you stop too soon, your symptoms may return. It is okay to continue using the medicine if your menstrual period starts during treatment.
-
Wear cotton panties (or panty hose with a cotton crotch) during treatment. To keep the medicine from getting on your clothing, wear an unscented minipad or sanitary napkin. Do not use with a tampon. It will absorb the medicine.
-
If you miss a dose, take it when you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses at once to make up for the missed one.
-
Combination packages come with vaginal suppository or tablets plus a cream. The cream can be applied to the outer vaginal area to treat itching.
