What's it used for?
It is used to treat a skin cancer known as basal cell carcinoma. It is used when the skin cancer has spread to other parts of the body or has come back after surgery.
How do I take it?
- It is often taken in 1 dose a day.
- You may take it with or without food.
- Swallow capsules whole. Do not open or break.
What should I know before taking it?
- Tell your doctor, nurse, and pharmacist the names of all medicines you take. This includes over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Tell your doctor, nurse, and pharmacist if you have any allergies.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
- Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
- Tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions.
- Do not donate blood while taking this drug and for 24 months after you stop.
How do I handle it safely?
- Wash your hands after handling it.
- Pregnant women should not handle it.
What about sexual activity?
- Men should wear condoms with spermicide during treatment if partner is of childbearing age. Do not donate sperm.
- Women of childbearing age should use highly effective birth control during treatment and for 3 months after.

How do I store it?
- Store at room temperature.
- Keep away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
- Keep out of the reach of children or pets.
What are the side effects?
The common ones (more than 3 in 10 people have them)
- Muscle spasms
- Hair loss
- Abnormal taste
- Weight loss
- Tiredness (fatigue)
- Nausea
- Loss of menstrual cycles (in women)

When do I call my doctor?
Call your doctor if you have any of these:
- Any bothersome side effects or any side effects that do not go away
- Any signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, hives, or tightness of chest
- Menstrual (period) changes
